Avventura Musical at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) [16/12/12]

On 16th December 2011, we were invited to watch a musical performance called “Avventura Musica” by UPSI’s final year students. There were 16 of us who are able to join the trip. We arrived on 8.30p.m when the performance was just about to start. Luckily, we made it. Fuh! The moment we entered the hall, it was almost full house, so our expectation regards the performance was very high.

The performance is actually about Luta, an alien from outer space, who wants to know what music, is all about. He tried to play the instruments but could not find the right note to make a great sound. Then, his little friend suggested him to go and visit the earth to know more about music. That is when his adventure begins by traveling around the earth in searching what music is.

Overall, the performance was splendid! It started with recital that represents the China followed by India, Africa, Arab, Traditional Malay, and many other ethnics and races. It was so beautiful. The props and the customs were stunning and brilliant. The show ended at 11p.m. We had a great time there. We felt very lucky to be given such opportunity. It was a great experience. Hoping there will be more to be seen, not only from the UPSI but from other places too.
