Wedding shows @ short semester
Alhamdulillah all praise to the Almighty for His blessing and sustenance we got quite a lot of invitations during short semester period to play gamelan at their weddings. We thank the lovely couples - Nur Ain & Mohd Ikhwan and Dr Afiqah & Dr Azhar for inviting us to enliven your weddings. Both of the performances were performed on 16th of July and 23rd of July at Roof Garden Hotel Bukit Jelutong and Dewan Perdana Felda respectively.
Our SOP (standard of performance) is playing traditional Gamelan Melayu songs such as Timang Burung, Lambang Sari, Sri Rama Balik and many more as well as one or two Lagu Rakyat such as Lenggang Kangkung, alongside with songs from the bride or groom's PA system. Well, it is impossible for a normal human being to keep on playing continuosly without a stop from 12pm - 4pm or 6pm- 11pm, isn't it? ;)
Apart from that, we were also getting an invitation to perform for Great Eastern's Raya Feast at Menara Great Eastern, Jalan Jelatek together with IIUM Percussion Club. Thousand thanks for the opportunity.
